We preview some of the best AK47 books out there

Tokoi Book
The Tokoi book is about the best reference for the AK47 collector, enthusiast and builder. The photos cover almost every variant of the AK including accessories. The pictures are of the highest quality in full color. They show markings and the closest details of each AK variant.

The Tokoi book is out of print and sells for almost $200 at the time I'm writing this (Aug 2006) but for the hard core AK collector it's a must have for the library

The Collectors' Guide to Bayonets for the AK and Its Variations

If you collect the AK47 or it's bayonets this book is a must have. Written by one of th eforemost collectors of Russian Millitaria. Martin Ivie has written the only guide for the AK47 bayonets. It organizes and explains just about every bayonet available (and not) at the time of the pubication in 2002.

The AK47 Story: Evolution of the Kalashnikov Weapons
by Edward Clinton Ezell

AK-47 and AK-74 Kalashnikov Rifles and Their Variations
by Joe Poyer

The AK-47 and AK-74 Kalashnikov Rifles and Their Variations provides a detailed, profusely illustrated examination on a part-by-part basis of the famed AK47/AKM rifles, the AK-74/AK-74M series and the new Century series of rifles, the AK-101 through AK-108.
